A Lack of Innovation Has Stopped Progress on Addiction

Clinicians and scientists agree that addiction is a disease and we are facing a public health emergency. Despite these massive costs, innovation in treatment has lagged for decades.

How CASPR Is Different

Existing medications for addiction are either lacking in efficacy or patient appeal, but this can change. CASPR is currently supporting the only two pilot projects in the world providing GLP-1RAs to real-world addiction programs, at Caron Treatment Center and OpenDoors in Rhode Island. Our work has been covered in the New York Times and many other national outlets.

We are a lean but very high-leverage organization, relentlessly focused on bringing a strategic approach to the field of addiction medicine and getting new treatments to patients as soon as possible. Our background is in startups, tech, science, and medicine — we are here to move fast, make change, and see impact.

What Your Investment Makes Possible

  1. Funds real-world pilot programs in treatment centers, community settings, and under-studied populations that are often excluded from traditional research.
  2. Powers studies that connect clinical outcomes to social outcomes like recidivism, employment, and long-term recovery stability.
  3. Supports our innovative policy development work, moving governments at all levels towards strategic and scalable solutions to addiction.
